Collingham - New Workings: 1 Common Sandpiper.
Kilvington - West Lake: 2 Green Sandpiper, 4 Common Sandpiper. East Lake: 1 Little Egret, 3+ Yellow-legged Gull.
Wollaton Park - 1 Rose-ringed Parakeet [possible flying East towards city - unknown status].
Kings Mill Reservoir - 7 Curlew [through to the west at 06:45].

Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Peregrine [Flushed nearly all birds from the Slurry Lagoon before milling around the site for a short time and flying off towards the city], 1 Common Sandpiper [on shoreline in front of causeway bench], 7 Northern Shoveler, 2 Yellow Wagtail [including 1 juvenile], 29 Gadwall, 73 Black-headed Gull, 11 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Northern Lapwing [very low number compared to last week], 1 Argentine Blue-bill, 3 Reed Warbler. Insects: 27 Gatekeeper, 3 Meadow Brown, 4 Common Blue, 11 Six Spot Burnet, 5 Brown Hawker, 3 Black Tailed Skimmer.
Collingham - New Workings: 4 Little Egret, 1 Green Sandpiper.
Kilvington - East Lake: 1 Yellow-legged Gull. West Lake: 1 Little Egret, 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Common Sandpiper.
Kings Mill Reservoir - Mandarin Duck [male again showing well early morning with 3 young].

Hoveringham Railway Pit - Railway Lake: 5 Oystercatcher, 3 Yellow Wagtails [juveniles], 1 Common Scoter, 1 Black-necked Grebe, 24 Great Crested Grebes [juveniles], Tufted Ducks [plenty of juveniles].
Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Ruff, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Sparrowhawk [female], 1 Common Gull [juvenile], 27 Mallard, 443 Black-headed Gull, 257 Northern Lapwing, 18 Lesser Black-backed Gull. Insects: 5 Black-tailed Skimmer, 3 Brown Hawker, 5 Common Blue, 12 Gatekeeper, 1 Comma, 1 Red Admiral, 1 Brimstone [female], 2 Speckled Wood, 1 Ringlet, 9 Small Skipper.
Kilvington - New Lake: 1 Little Egret, 3 Kingfisher, 5 Common Sandpiper, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Greenshank, 1 Common Redshank, 4 Common Buzzard, 8 Yellow-legged Gull, 78 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Budby Pumping Station - 2 Little Egret, 2 Kingfisher, 85 Northern Lapwing, Common Buzzard, Grey Heron, Reed Warbler, Common Whitethroat.
Welbeck Lakes - Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Common Buzzard, 2 Grey Heron [juveniles], 1 Sparrowhawk [female].

Kilvington - New Lake: 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Yellow-legged Gull.
Netherfield Lagoons - 309 Northern Lapwing [on the slurry lagoon], 1 Eurasian Teal, 7 Common Pochard, 237 Black-headed Gull, 1 Argentine Blue-bill, 7 Common Tern [roosting on slurry, including 3 juveniles], 3 Yellow Wagtail [passing through South-East], 1 Northern Wheatear [juvenile], 1 Common Gull. Insects 7 Six-spot Burnet, 4 Black Tailed Skimmer, 2 Brown Hawker, 2 Comma, 1 Peacock.

Kilvington - 1 Dunlin [New Lake].
Collingham - 1 Caspian Tern, 1 Little Egret, 1 Green Sandpiper.
Silverhill Trail - 2 Willow Tit [singles], Bullfinch, Spotted Flycatcher.
Basford - 2 Herring Gull [over].

Hoveringham Gravel Pits - Railway Lake: 1 Common Redshank, 11 Oystercatcher, 29 Northern Lapwing, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Stonechat, Tufted Duck [plenty, plus ducklings], 5 Common Pochard, 4 Spotted Flycatcher [family by the new railway lake], 4 Yellow Wagtail [juvenilles], 2 Pink-footed Geese [with the Canadas and Greylags on the bank]. Field Flashes: 79 Northern Lapwing.
Kingsmill Reservoir - Mandarin Duck [male again showing well at 05:45 before flying off to the north].

Moorgreen Wood - 3 Common Buzzard, 2 Kestrel [mobbing Buzzards], 1 Hobby.
Selston - Red Kite [high over Salmon Lane].
Sun 20th Jul
Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Hobby [mobbed by Terns from the Tern platform], 2 Green Woodpecker [including 1 juvenile], 1 Lesser Whitethroat [calling], 1 Yellow Legged Gull. Insects: 17 Gatekeeper, 2 Holly Blue, 2 Ringlet, 9 Small Skipper, 11 Comma, 2 Small Tortiseshell.
Hoveringham - Railway Lake: 1 Black-necked Grebe, 1 Common Scoter, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Dunlin, 1 Common Sandpiper, 4 Redshank [including 2 young], 93 Great Crested Grebe [including 22 young], 1 Eurasian Wigeon.
Kilvington - New Lake: 1 Little Egret, 2 Common Sandpiper, 4 Common Redshank, 6 Yellow-legged Gull, 154 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Dunlin.
Welbeck Lakes - 2 Common Sandpiper [flew in and one settled on far bank directly opposite the place where all the bird feeders are situated]. 3 Common Buzzard, 1 Curlew [flew East to West], Great Crested Grebe [sitting on nest on far bank], 105 Greylag Geese, 18 Northern Lapwing, 1 Sand Martin.

Attenborough Nature Reserve - 1 Knot [Clifton Pit].
Welbeck Lakes - 2 Herring Gull, 1 Yellow-legged Gull, 4 Common Buzzard, 4 Mistle Thrush, Scaup [male].
Annesley Pit Top - 1 Black-tailed Godwit, Hobby [over], 2 Common Crossbill.

Treswell - 1 Green Woodpecker [flew in front of car entering village].
Highfields - 1 Green Woodpecker [feeding on lawns].
Wed 16th Jul
New Ollerton - Ring-necked Parakeet [Status unknown: a regular garden visitor. Seen a few times in the space of a week along Walesby Lane. Possible sighting of a second Parakeet but not 100% certain.

Kilvington - New Lake: 1 Little Egret, 5 Yellow-legged Gull, 1 Green Sandpiper, 7 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Little Grebe, 194 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 89 Northern Lapwing.

Stapleford - Skylark [singing, fields between Stapleford and Trowell].

Netherfield Lagoons - 2 Grasshopper Warbler, 2 Stock Dove, 5 Common Pochard, 1 Yellow-legged Gull, 143 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Common Redshank, 18 Northern Lapwing, 11 House Martin, 33 Sand Martin. Butterflies, Moth & Other Insects: 7 Meadow Brown, 17 Ringlet 2 Small Skipper, 1 Red Admiral, 3 Speckled Wood, 1 Five-spotted Burnet, 1 Longhorn Beetle [possible Agapanthia villosoviridescens, blue grey and black striped antennae].
