Mon 31st Jan: Wollaton Park - Wollaton Park Lake, 3 Mandarin duck (2 male, 1 female).
Mon 31st Jan: Colwick CP - Red crested Pochard + Water Rail [Loop Bank], 3 redhead Smew [Hall Lake]. Lesser spotted Woodpecker (1 male, 1 female) + Peregrine Falcon, [Nature Reserve], Lesser Peckers are mobile, between Hall and The Old Rugged Bridge !
Mon 31st Jan: Barton-in Fabis - 4 Pink feet in the fields with Mute Swans.
Mon 31st Jan: Attenborough - Leucistic Black headed Gull [Main Pit].
Sun 30th Jan: Welbeck Raptor Point - 53 Pink feet heading NW
Sun 30th Jan: Rise Park, Nottingham - 32 Waxwings, late morning on Brownlow Drive.
Sun 30th Jan: Penny Pasture (Kersall) - Jack Snipe
Sun 30th Jan: Netherfield Lagoons - 4 Dunlin (flying with Lapwing), female Stonechat [Fishing Pit], Little Egret [Fishing Pit / Ouse Dyke], Athya Hybrid (Tufted x Pochard) [Deep Pit], Snipe [Deep Pit].
Sun 30th Jan: Bulwell - Sellers Wood Drive, Bulwell 200ish Waxwings in the area all day, feeding on the Rowans on Sellers Wood Drive between the 2 islands as you enter Blenheim Industrial Estate and also migrating to behind the Aldi supermarket on the way to Bulwell and other areas on the Industrial Estate, just as last year.

Sat 29th Jan: Forest Town, Mansfield - Pink-feet - 238 over at 12:10pm, heading North-west
Sat 29th Jan: Eakring - 471 Pink-feet over at 2pm, heading North-west
Sat 29th Jan: Colwick CP - 3 redhead Smew - Colwick Hall lake, single Red crested Pochard - loop, Lesser spotted Woodpecker nature reserve, behind stable block, 7+ Reed Bunting - peninsular.
Sat 29th Jan: Clumber Park - Great grey Shrike, on the South Lawn, 0930am.
Sat 29th Jan: Clifton, Nottingham - 4 skiens of pinkfooted geese over Clifton Grove between 12.00 -12.20pm all heading west ,over 1000 birds in total. Also 5 Common Buzzard displaying over Clifton Wood

Wed 26th Jan: Worksop - 80 Pink-feet moving north-west, at 12:45pm.
Wed 26th Jan: Attenborough - At around midday: Bullfinch; 28 Goosander; 4 Goldeneye on Coneries pond (1 male); 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker; Kingfisher on river; 200 Lapwings on Works beach; 12 Shoveller; some Pochard and Teal. 2 Shelduck, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Common Buzzard.
Tue 25th Jan: Nottingham - Peregrine on the Trent University building, Burton Street.
Tue 25th Jan: Harlow Wood - Midday -- c 250 Pink Footed Geese NW in 2 skeins.
Tue 25th Jan: Chilwell - 10 Waxwings on Eskdale Road, late morning.
Tue 25th Jan: Attenborough - Late morning -> early p.m.: C. 200 Lapwings on Works beach; Shelduck and female Goldeneye on Coneries pond; a smattering of Teal, Shoveller, Pochard throughout; Kestrel; Sparrowhawk; 2x G.S. Woodpecker: Bullfinch; 7x Goosander(2x male).
Mon 24th Jan: Mansfield - 0900am -- Peregrine going north over bus station.
Mon 24th Jan: Attenborough - Excellent views of the Bittern from the Delta Hide (10.15 am), Several close up views (10 feet) of a Kestrel at the entrance to the Hide.
Mon 24th Jan: Attenborough - 2 Buzzard south of river; 8 Goosander (3 male); 11 Shoveller (3 female); 4 G.S. Woodpecker; 34 Greylag on river; 1 Shelduck; 1 Bullfinch: 1 v. unconcerned Kestrel. A few Teal, Gadwall and Pochard were scattered throughout, and there good numbers of Goldfinch and Long-tailed Tits.
Mon 24th Jan: Arnold - Birchfield Rd/Kilbourne Rd area, Monday am 40+ Waxwings.
Mon 24th Jan: Arnold - 50+ waxwings 1500hrs Merton Close.
Sun 23rd Jan: Welbeck - Adult Caspian Gull on the Great Lake at Welbeck.

Sun 23rd Jan: Nottinghamshire - There has been a massive movement of Pink-footed Geese through Notts this morning with so far, in excess of 7,600 birds, all moving west. The best single total at one site was 3,800 through Netherfield Lagoons between 09:45 and 12:00.

Sun 23rd Jan: Langford Lowfields - drake Green-winged Teal has been showing well from the RSPB viewing platform. Last seen at 15:20.

Sat 22nd Jan: Colwick CP - 3 Redhead Smews on the Colwick Hall Lake, plus 9 White-front Geese flying north.
Sat 22nd Jan: Clifton - c150 Pink-Footed Geese over Clifton 9.35am heading west. 2 Common Stonechat and 1 Tree Sparrow in fields behind Holme Pit (Clifton Grove). 6 Goldeneye on river Trent.
Sat 22nd Jan: Budby Common - 220 Pink-feet - going c. west-- mid morning.
Sat 22nd Jan: Attenborough - Egyptian Goose x2 Attenborough Football Club pitch, Snipe x2 on Works Beach, Goosander x4 on Works Pond and x4 on Main Pond, Teal x8 on Works Pond, Shoveler 8-10 from the Hide.
Sat 22nd Jan: Attenborough - Bittern [from the bund], 3 Water Rail, Common Buzzard.
Fri 21st Jan: Clumber Park - On the South Lawn -- Brambling, Green Woodpecker, Great spotted Woodpecker, Lesser spotted Woodpecker plus Jays everywhere.
Fri 21st Jan: Beeston - 300+ Waxwing at the junction of Beacon Road and Pagets Road.
Thu 20th Jan: Huthwaite Tip - First winter Iceland Gull present in the morning at least.
Thu 20th Jan: Dunham-on-Trent Lakes - 49 Mute Swans, 3 Redshanks, good numbers of wintering ducks. George Hudson also asks -- after walking around the Lakes 2 or 3 times a week for 5 years he has never found a dead Swan under the power lines there. Today he found 4. Anything to do with the strong winds recently? Anyone else noticed a similar problem recently?

Wed 19th Jan: Cotmanhay/Ilkeston - Just over the Erewash in Derbyshire, there has been for the past few days a flock of between 30-100+ Waxwings in the Ebinezeer Street/ Muskham Avenue area.

Tue 4th Jan: Trowell Moor - Male Rough-legged Buzzard, seen 11am, on the A609 between Trowell and Wollaton Vale. Bird flew across in front of observer who had a clear view of warm brown wings, darker primaries, and white rump.
Tue 4th Jan: Nottingham - 90 Waxwings present at midday, on St Annes Well Road in the area around IC Discounts store.
Tue 4th Jan: Attenborough - Bittern from hide[16.00],Short Eared Owl[sth of river],Snipe X23[flying over from sth of river].

Sat 1st Jan: Attenborough - Sora seen well once early morning, still on \'Sora Spit\', Clifton Pit. Also Bittern seen in the morning in the Delta. 22 Goosanders Works Pit/Main Pit.
