- Mon 26th Dec: Beeston Weir - 50+Lapwings, pair Stonechats, flock of 8 Tree Sparrows, 1 Buzzard, 1 Sparrowhawk, 4 Great spotted Woodpeckers.
- Sun 25th Dec: Hucknall - Male Brambling, Jay (2), Greenfinch (20+), Goldfinch (6+), Chaffinch (10+), Blackbird (6+), Starling (50+) in a garden in the Linby Colliery Pit Tip allotments area.
- Sun 25th Dec: Holme Pierrepont (Rowing Course) - 5 Redshank, 70 Pink footed Geese[to the SW], Merlin [fem.]
- Sun 25th Dec: Holme Pierrepont (Finger Ponds) - 2 Red-Head Smews.

- Sat 24th Dec: Hoveringham [Sailing Pit] - Great Northern Diver [11:32 till at least 15:50] Drake Smew, 2 Redshank, Tawny Owl.
- Sat 24th Dec: Hoveringham [Railway Pit] - 5 Goosander, 7 Redshank.
- Sat 24th Dec: Holme Pierrepont - Drake Smew and two Redhead Smews on the finger ponds.
- Sat 24th Dec: Clifton - 3 Goldcrests in the trees at Clifton spinney.
- Sat 24th Dec: Attenborough - Bittern[delta hide],Brambling+Yellowhammer[sth of river],Snipe,Chiffchaff,Stonechat[pair at sailing club],Good numbers of Goosander around,Water Rail,Lapwing c60[works beach].
- Sat 24th Dec: Attenborough - A Bittern was showing well directly across from the delta hide from (at least) 12.50pm and showed even better after being flushed by a fox at around 3.20pm!!. 4 Chiffchaffs [Toton Sewerage works], male Stonechat [Erewash field].
- Fri 23rd Dec: Ruddington - 2 reed buntings enjoying seed on garden bird table.
- Fri 23rd Dec: Haywood Oaks - 20 Corn Bunting - just N of road linking Blidworth and the A614, by bend to East of NORTH end of Haywood Oaks.
- Fri 23rd Dec: Colwick CP - Drake Smew + 2 Red Heads, Red crested Pochard [male and female], c105 Shoveler, 22 Wigeon [West Lake], c80 Lapwing, 8 Redwing, 14 Fieldfare, Western Yellow - Legged Gull[model boat boom].
- Fri 23rd Dec: Clifton Grove - 3 Hawfinches behind Clifton Wood, near the aster tree plantation showing well at times, sat in tree tops on the edge of the ploughed field. Also 1 Brambling, 5 Siskin, 2 Lesser Redpoll and large numbers of Goldfinches feeding on the aster trees and feeders.
- Fri 23rd Dec: Attenborough - 3 Bitterns in the delta area, late afternoon.
- Fri 23rd Dec: Attenborough - 2 Short eared Owls over the Erewash field at 2pm.
- Thu 22nd Dec: Hoveringham - Great nortern Diver still on the Sailing Lake.
- Thu 22nd Dec: Harlow Wood - c20 Crossbills.
- Thu 22nd Dec: Dunham-on-Trent Lakes - Snipe, Redshank, all the usual ducks but in low numbers, very few Fieldfare/Redwings in area.
- Thu 22nd Dec: Attenborough - Bittern x2[delta hide],Brambling,Fem Scaup[main pond,Yellowhammer x2.
- Thu 22nd Dec: Attenborough - Bittern x 3 at the Delta. Also Firecrest x 1 near Sewage farm.
- Wed 21st Dec: Attenborough N.R. - Female scaup-Tween pond,Smew off north path midday,shelduck-works pond.
- Tue 20th Dec: Nottingham - Peregrine on the Burton Building [junc Talbot Street and Burton Street]
- Tue 20th Dec: Hoveringham - Great Northern Diver still on the sailing pit.
- Tue 20th Dec: Eakring - Jack Snipe [Penny Pasture], 15 Common Snipe across Penny Pasture/Eakring Meadow. Lesser Redpoll (cabaret) at Eakring Flash.
- Tue 20th Dec: Attenborough N.R. - Two bitterns in delta reedbed,redhead smew main pond,6+lesser redpoll Barton lane,red-crested pochard-church pond,corn bunting,2 chiffchaff,sev.water rail,c.20 siskin,grey wagtail.
- Mon 19th Dec: Hockerton - Barn Owl - Flew across private road to the Hockerton Housing Project.
- Mon 19th Dec: Clumber Park - Hawfinch near to the chapel.
- Mon 19th Dec: Attenborough - 2 male Goldeneye, Kingfisher, 23 Goosander, 6 Snipe (Works Beach), 7 Siskin, Water Rail (Wet Marsh).
- Sun 18th Dec: Clumber Park - Hawfinch by the Chapel.
- Sun 18th Dec: Bestwood Pit Top - 5 Meadow Pipit, 1 Woodcock.
- Sun 18th Dec: Bestwood CP - 5 Goldcrest, Coal Tit.
- Sun 18th Dec: Bestwood (Mill Lakes) - Water Rail, 8 Snipe.
- Sun 18th Dec: Bestwood (Mill Lakes) - 5 Snipe, 7 Siskin, 2 Goosander[over].
- Sat 17th Dec: Holme Pierrepont - Mediterranean Gull in the A52 pit roost.
- Sat 17th Dec: Gamston - Barn Owl on the verge of the A52 at Gamston, near the council depot. Flew up and crossed over the A52 towards the Holme Pierrepont area. [19.10]
- Sat 17th Dec: Attenborough - The Barton Lane new hide feeders attracting a lot of birds including Tree Sparrow, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Redpoll, Gold Finch, Chaffinch, Green Finch, Tits, Dunnock, Wren, Kingfisher flying by. Goldeneye, Greylag and Egyptian Geese on Clifton Pit. Goosander on the works pit. Willow Tits on Delta Gates feeding table. 3 Short eared Owls in Erewash field 2 - 3pm. Stand with your back to the railway line looking towards the pylons and round towards the back of the visitor centre. 2 Bitterns from Delta hide 3 -4pm, perched / roosted two thirds of the way up the reed stems. Also in the delta Gadwall, Teal, Little Grebe, Sparrow Hawk.

- Fri 16th Dec: Netherfield Lagoons - c30 Golden Plover, Snipe, Goldcrest, Meadow Pipit, Buzzard, Peregrine Falcon, Merlin [female], 2 Stonechat [male and female], c80 Shoveler.
- Fri 16th Dec: Colwick CP - 3 Redshank, 2 Teal, 6 Wigeon, 2 Red crested Pochard[male and female], Smew [Hall Lake].
- Fri 16th Dec: Attenborough - Bittern[delta hide],Redhead Smew[main pond],Grey Partridge x2[wheatear field.
- Thu 15th Dec: Hoveringham - Great northern Diver still on the sailing pit
- Wed 14th Dec: Ruddington - Male Blackcap on feeders in a Ruddington garden this morning (regular occurrence at this time of year for the last three years).
- Tue 13th Dec: Attenborough N.R. - Bearded tit -Clifton pit,brambling 2,corn bunting 14,lesser redpoll 2,water rail 2,ruddy duck 44,snipe 6,redshank flew west.
- Mon 12th Dec: Hoveringham - juvenile Great Northern Diver still present on the fishing lake.
- Mon 12th Dec: Clumber Park - A group of 41 Barnacle Geese circled the lake a couple of times and then landed on the grass bank near the chapel at 11am. After fifty minutes they flew off in a northerly direction. Thought to be feral, possibly from the Osberton area.
- Mon 12th Dec: Attenborough - Bittern[delta hide approx 14.15],Bearded Tit[from Barton Lane hide],Siskin,Snipe x5.
- Sun 11th Dec: Mansfield - 2 Brambling, a male and a female in a garden in Nottingham Road. Female has been visiting/feeding for past 7 days regularly, male first time Sunday.
- Sun 11th Dec: Hoveringham - Great Northern Diver still at Hoveringham sailing pit first thing.
- Sun 11th Dec: Holme Pierrepont (A52 pit) - Mediterranean Gull in the gull roost.
- Sun 11th Dec: Harlow Wood - Crossbill heard in the wood at first light, then 12 to s/east at 0745.
- Sun 11th Dec: Hardwick Hall, - Male Hen Harrier at Lady Spencers Wood at approx. 11.45 am.
- Sun 11th Dec: Gunthorpe - 1 Woodcock, 50+ Shoveler, 4 Goosander, 1 Buzzard, 1 partially leucistic Black-headed Gull, 2 Snipe, 3 Kingfisher, 2 Chiffchaff.
