Welbeck Raptor Watchpoint - 1 Osprey [old trees to west], 2 Common Buzzard.
Colwick CP - House Martin [pure albino].
Annesley Hall - 1 Hobby [over towards Newstead].
Collingham - New Workings: 5 Little Egret, 8 Comon Snipe, 2 Greenshank, 4 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper.
Langford Lowfields - 7 Little Egret, 1 Green Sandpiper.

Colwick CP - Migrant Trap: Garden Warbler, Blackcap. Trout Lake: 50 Swallow, 20 House Martin, Mandarin [male], 2 Red-crested Pochard [male], Black Swan.
Annesley Hall - 2 Turtle Dove.

Wed 29th Aug

Dunham Lakes - c.100 Goldfinch, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Oystercatcher.
Colwick CP - Migrant Trap: Garden Warbler, Blackcap, 12 House Martin [over]. Trout Lake: Common Sandpiper, Mandarin [male], Red-crested Pochard, 3 Common Pochard, Gadwall [male], Black Swan, 24 Swallow, 3 Sand Martin, 14 Pied Wagtail [juveniles]. River Boom: Yellow-legged Gull.
Collingham - New Workings: 9 Little Egret, 1 Hobby, 150 European Golden Plover, 4 Common Snipe, 3 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Turtle Dove, c.30 Yellow Wagtail, c.150 Goldfinch [flock].

Mon 27th Aug

Holme Pierrepont - Blott's Pit: Hobby [to west], Common Sandpiper, 8 Eurasian Wigeon, 3 Common Pochard, 2 Shoveler, 14 Gadwall, Goldeneye [female]. A52 Pit: 24 Lapwing, 7 Swallow, 5 House Martin, 2 Sedge Warbler, Common Whitethroat, Blackcap. Butterflies Clouded Yellow.
King's Mill Reservoir - 3 Black-tailed Godwit.

Welbeck - Osprey [distant, feeding in dead trees viewed from the Norton to Carburton Road].
King's Mill Reservoir - 3 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Common Sandpiper.

Sat 25th Aug

Colwick CP - Yellow-legged Gull [river boom], 2 Red-crested Pochard [2 eclipse males], Common Pochard, Black Swan.
Attenborough NR - Yellow-legged Gull [Sailing Pit], Mediterranean Gull [juvenile on works beach later flew over Clifton Pit], 4 Garganey [wet marsh], Ringed Plover [Barton flash],3 Common Buzzard, Red-tailed Hawk [over Branshill Wood].

Fri 24th Aug

Carrington - Willow Warbler [male singing quietly and feeding], Spotted Flycatcher.
Bramcote Hills - Wryneck [Golf Course].
Cottam - Guillemot [on River Trent opposite Cottam Power Station. Present from 10:00 - 12:30 at least. Bird was paddling against the flow].

Thu 23rd Aug

Colwick CP - 30 Swallow, 20 House Martin, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Black Swan. Plus: Aythya hybrid [Pochard X ? female type with dirty white face and white undertail coverts.
Nottingham - c.21 Mistle Thrush [pre-roost gathering on Inland Revenue building Wilford Street].

Wed 22nd Aug

Hoveringham - Sailing Lake Flashes: 3 Greenshank, 13 Whimbrel [through to the west], 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Arctic Tern [moulting adult), 1 Black Tern [moulting adult].
Collingham - New Workings: 1 Little Egret, 1 Ringed Plover, 2 Green Sandpiper, 2 Common Sandpiper, 20+ Sand Martin.
Langford Lowfields - 1 Little Egret, 1 Eurasian Wigeon, 11 Common Snipe, 30+ Sand Martin, c.5 House Martin.
Wollaton Park - Spotted Flycatcher, Common Pochard, Jay.

Burton Joyce - 3 Little Egret [Stoke Lane area flying down river past Burton Joyce].

Colwick CP - West Lake: 5 Red-crested Pochard [3 males & 2 females], 4 Common Pochard, Black Swan, 2 Kingfisher, 50 Swallow, 5 Sand Martin, 2 House Martin, 2 Green Woodpecker. Migrant Trap: Willow Warbler, Blackcap, 5 Linnet.

Attenborough NR - 1 Yellow-legged Gull [adult On Coneries Pond near Visitor Centre at 16:00], 2 Common Swift, 1 Common Sandpiper
Holme Pierrepont - A52 Pit: 30 Lapwing, 6 Gadwall, Common Pochard, 60 Swallow, 20 House Martin, 10 Sand Martin. Blott's Pit: Goldeneye [female], 3 Eurasian Wigeon, 5 Common Swift, 3 Common Whitethroat.
Clumber Park - 1 Eagle Owl [bird of unknown origin in trees between the lake and Lime Tree Avenue. All other birds putting out warning calls].

Sat 18th Aug

Attenborough NR - New Workings: 60 Swallow, 6 Sand Martin, 12 House Martin, 5 Common Swift, 4 Common Tern. Sailing Pit: Yellow-legged Gull. Tween Pond Scrape: 130 Lapwing, 2 Common Tern, 2 Egyptian Goose, 3 Common Teal. Delta: 4 Common Tern, 20 Gadwall, 2 Reed Warbler.

Fri 17th Aug

Colwick CP - Red-crested Pochard [2 eclipse males], 15 Pied Wagtail [mostly juveniles], Grey Wagtail, Blackcap [juvenile], Willow Warbler, 65 Swallow, 11 Sand Martin, 5 House Martin, Black Swan.
Netherfield Lagoons - 6 Common Pochard, 6 Gadwall, Argentine Blue-bill. New Workings Hedgerow: 14 Tree Sparrow.
Stoke Bardolph Sewerage Works - Green Sandpiper, 100 Lapwing, 2 Shoveler.

Girton - Sailing Lake: 3 Arctic Tern [heading SE at 14:35].
Besthorpe NR - 1 Turtle Dove, 1 Kingfisher, 8 Sand Martin.
Langford Lowfields - 1 Jay, 1 Redshank, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Little Owl, 3 Red-legged Partridge.
Holme - River Trent: 2 Kingfisher, 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Tree Sparrow.
Kirkby in Ashfield - Hobby.
Attenborough NR - Egyptian Goose, Greylag Goose, Willow Tit, Chiffchaff, Lapwing.

Attenborough NR - 6 Little Egret [in to roost on Coneries Pond].
Colwick CP - 2 Red-crested Pochard, 3 Common Pochard, 5 Linnet, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Pheasant, 80 Swallow, 20 House Martin, 3 Sand Martin [mostly moving through S/SE].

Sun 12th Aug

Holme Pierrepont - Blott's Pit Hobby, 3 Eurasian Wigeon, Blackcap, Common Whitethroat. Butterflies: Peacock, Red Admiral, Painted Lady.
Netherfield Lagoons - 4 Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 5 Willow Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 9 Shoveler, 5 Common Pochard, 4 Grey Wagtail, 6 Bullfinch, 2 Sparrowhawk [including one male perched outside Sand Martin nest site], 35 House Martin, 54 Swallow, 12 Common Swift [passage].

Sat 11th Aug

- Sailing Lake Flashes: 3 Greenshank, 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 6 Dunlin, Ringed Plover, 2 Common Snipe, Oystercatcher, 2 Yellow Wagtail. Sailing Lake: Egyptian Goose, Lesser Whitethroat, Common Sandpiper. Gibsmere Village: 40 House Sparrow, 80 House Martin [on wires]. NNW Pit: Green Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper.
Attenborough NR - Jay, Hobby [over Tween Pond], c.30 Tree Sparrow, Common Whitethroat [Wheatear Field hedgerow], Little Egret [Barton Flash], 3 Willow Tit. Butterflies and Dragonflies: Brimstone, Southern Hawker, Common Darter, Emerald Spreadwing [Delta], 2 Common Blue [Butterfly Patch], Brown Argus, Small Copper [Old Car Park].

Netherfield Lagoons 1 Hobby, 1 Sparrowhawk, 5 Common Pochard, 2 Shoveler, 176 Black-headed Gull, 128 Lapwing, 2 Reed Warbler, 2 Sedge Warbler, 1 Green Woodpecker, 2 Lesser Whitethroat [Railway Bridge area]. Butterflies and Dragonflies: 1 Brimstone, 1 Holly Blue, 4 Common Blue, 3 Brown Argus, 2 Small Tortoiseshell, 3 Peacock, 3 Red Admiral, 7 Gatekeeper, 2 Meadow Brown, 1 Migrant Hawker, 5 Black-tailed Skimmer.

Netherfield Lagoons - Peregrine, Hobby, Common Sandpiper, 2 Grey Partridge 2. Butterflies and Dragonflies: 4 Brimstone, 2 Southern Hawker.
Colwick CP - Hobby, 3 Willow Warbler, 2 Garden Warbler, Blackcap, Chiffchaff [Migrant Trap], 3 Green Woodpecker [juveniles].
Attenborough NR - 5 Little Egret [Opposite side of the river], Yellow-legged Gull [Sailing pit], Red-tailed Hawk, Common Snipe, 8 Common Teal [Tween Pond Scrape], 12 Common Pochard [Clifton Pit]. Church Pond: 2 Eurasian Wigeon, 12 Shoveler, 70 Gadwall. Butterflies: Brown Argus [old car park].

Wed 8th Aug

Collingham - 2 Little Egret [New Workings].
Langford Lowfields - 1 Little Egret, 1 Turtle Dove.
Colwick Woods - 2 Sparrowhawk [juveniles].
Attenborough NR - Yellow-legged Gull, Whimbrel, Curlew, Red-tailed Hawk. Insects: Small Red-eyed Damselfly [several on the Delta].
Welbeck Area - Osprey [flew along lake by the lay by at 06:30], 3+ Common Buzzard [including 2 juveniles], 2 Marsh Tit [on lay by feeders], Spotted Flycatcher [hunting from tree left of war memorial].
Hoveringham - Railway Lake: Hobby. Sailing Lake Flashes: 1 Shelduck, 7 Dunlin.
Attenborough - 2 Green Sandpiper [Tween Pond Scrape].

Tue 7th Aug

Hoveringham - Linnet, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Chaffinch, Reed Bunting [all these passerines in a large, loose flock]. Sailing Lake Flashes: Egyptian Goose [including 1 juvenile], 1 Shelduck, 4 Common Snipe, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 9 Dunlin.

Mon 6th Aug

Attenborough NR - 1 Garganey, 1 Greenshank, [Works delta briefly].
Normanton-on-Trent - 10 Common Snipe, 500 Lapwing, 40 Golden Plover, 2 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper.

Sun 5th Aug

Nottingham City Centre - 2 Peregrine [Lace Market area].
Normanton-on-Trent - 2 Oystercatcher, 40 Lapwing, 1 Curlew.
Hoveringham - Marsh Harrier [juvenile on Railway Lake].
Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Common Snipe, 1 Shoveler, 3 Willow Tit, 45+ Swallow, 65+ House Martin, 45 Sand Martin, 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Blackcap, 1 Garden Warbler, 1 Hobby [seen taking prey near the Railway bridge, 10:35], 250+ Lapwing [roosting in stubble field on Severn Trent land]. New Workings: 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Redshank, 2 Yellowhammer, 1 Yellow Wagtail. Butterflies and Dragonflies: 3 Peacock, 4 Common Blue, 2 Brown Argus, 1 Holly Blue, 12 Gatekeeper, 4 Common Darter, 2 Southern Hawker, 1 Emperor, 1 Black-tailed Skimmer, 2 Four Spotted Chaser.

East Bridgford - Hobby [A6097 near Brunts Lane between Newton and East Bridgford.
Netherfield Lagoons - Redshank, Green Sandpiper [briefly on new workings 15:00], Peregrine [15:30 hunting over farmers stubble fields before stooping down creating a frenzy amongst the Wood Pigeon and Redshank].
Hoveringham GPs - NNW Pit: 3 Green Sandpiper, Common Pochard [plus 2 ducklings], Hoveringham-Gibsmere Footpath: 15 Dunlin, 2 Knot, 2 Ringed Plover, Little Ringed Plover [flooded fields].
Attenborough NR - 2 Little Egret [Opposite side of the river].

Netherfield Lagoons NR - Common Buzzard, 180 Lapwing, 6 Gadwall, 6 Common Pochard [+ 1 duckling], Grey Wagtail, 2 Meadow Pipit, 2 Blackcap, 3 Common Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Sedge Warbler, 5 Reed Warbler, Grasshopper Warbler [east boundary hedge/hump], 3 Yellowhammer [nearest corn field].

Attenborough NR - 1 Little Egret [Tween Pond Scrape].

Welbeck Raptor Watchpoint - Osprey [sat in dead trees], Hobby, Marsh Harrier [through at 18:20], Honey Buzzard.
Annesley Hall - Grasshopper Warbler [1 Reeling].
Moorgreen - High Park Woods: 4 Kestrel, 3 Common Buzzard, Goshawk [female with Grey Squirrel prey on the ground].
Attenborough NR - 2 Garganey, Yellow-legged Gull [Sailing Pit], Little Egret [Tween Pond Scrape], 17 Common Pochard, 2 Common Teal, 30 Common Tern.
