Mon 31st Oct: Tiln - The immature/female Long-tailed Duck is still present 3.15pm at Tiln GP's with a single Goldeneye. Access by walking c.1.5 miles north along the west side of the River Idle bank from Hallcroft Pit on the northern edge of Retford. Look east across the river to view the large flooded pit.
Mon 31st Oct: Sutton Bonington - 2 male Bullfinches feeding on berries, along Hungary Lane 1015
Mon 31st Oct: Lound - Greenshank [Chainbridge NR Scrape] and possibly a second at Tiln GP's, Green Sandpiper [Chainbridge NR Scrape], several Redwings and Goldcrests in various places, 2 Green Woodpeckers, Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Mon 31st Oct: Huthwaite - 19 swift sp SE over Common Road Huthwaite 09:45.
Mon 31st Oct: East Leake - Skylark and Fieldfare south of Rempstone Rd. 1030
Mon 31st Oct: Attenborough - Yellow legged Gull [Coneries], 4 Goldeneye[Clifton Pit].
Sun 30th Oct: Langford Lowfields - Adult drake Green-winged Teal.
Sun 30th Oct: Attenborough - Female Scaup [still on main pond],R.C.Pochard[church pond],Y.L.Gull [sail pit].
Sun 30th Oct: Attenborough - 15+ Snipe [Clifton Pit], 2 Goldeneye [Main Pit], male & female Stonechat[Erewash Field], Bittern - over the Trent from the south.
Sat 29th Oct: Tiln -An imm/female Long-tailed Duck still present at 2.00pm on a large pool at Tiln Gravel Pit. Access by walking c.1.5 miles north along the west side of the River Idle bank from Hallcroft Pit on the northern edge of Retford. Look east across the river to view. Also 1 Greenshank & 367 Shoveler [a site record], 8 Goldeneye, 4 Redshank, a single immature Oystercatcher but no sign of the Barnacle Geese which were reported over Blaco Hill Farm area earlier today. Fri 28th Oct: Hoveringham - 1st-winter Arctic Tern reported on birdguides at Hoveringham Sailing Pit

Wed 26th Oct: Nuthall - Large numbers of Fieldfare moving SW over Nuthall approx 08.30 this morning, a small flock were in trees on Mornington Crescent eating berries.

Wed 26th Oct: Lound - Great Skua overflying, mid-morning, Red crested Pochard, Pintail and Stonechat.

Wed 26th Oct: Attenborough - Female Scaup still on eastern end of the Main Pond mid-am, small flocks of Fieldfares moving around, Migrant Hawker in the delta wood.
Tue 25th Oct: Attenborough N.R. - Scaup(fem.)on main pond,peregrine,9 goldeneye,lesser redpoll,red-crested pochard,many hundreds of redwing and fieldfare moving sw.
Mon 24th Oct: Basford - Grey Wagtail seen on a residential Basford street, feeding around puddles.
Mon 24th Oct: Attenborough N.R. - Fem.scaup on main pond,goldeneye(3),40+fieldfare,buzzard.
Mon 24th Oct: Attenborough N.R. - 2 Bitterns flew into the Delta reedbed at around 9am.
Sun 23rd Oct: Langford Lowfields - The drake Green-winged Teal has returned to Langford Lowfields. Also Little Egret.

Sat 22nd Oct: Clifton Grove - 6 Stonechats (2 male/4 female) on fence post on the track between Beeston Weir to Clifton wood, also 2 Common Buzzard in the area and 1 Water Rail on Holme Pit.
Sat 22nd Oct: Attenborough - Clifton Pit: Grey Wagtail, 4 Snipe, 2 Buzzard, 2 Goldeneye; Wet Marsh: Water Rail; Sailing Pit: Western Yellow-Legged Gull.
Fri 21st Oct: Stoke Bardolph - Grey Wagtail, 10 Snipe at the sewerage works.
Fri 21st Oct: Netherfield Lagoons - Snipe, Argentinian Blue Billed Duck, 2 Red-Crested Pochard[drakes], Grey Wagtail, 2 Stonechats[male & female], c. 2000 Starlings[roosting in reed bed + more arriving], 40 Redwing.
Fri 21st Oct: Burton Joyce - 2 Stonechats[male and female] on the Poplars Sports Ground
Thu 20th Oct: Lound - Ring Ouzel - Noted in the Willows east of Neatholme Bridge today, 20th October (Tim Gibson) It was still present this afternoon with several Redwings (J.Wilkins) Also today large numbers of Teal, Wigeon and Shoveler, 12 Red-crested Pochard and 4 Dunlin.

Sun 16th Oct: Oldcotes - 150-175 Redwings flew West or S West over Oldcotes Car Boot Sale this morning between 7.30am til 12.00 midday
Sun 16th Oct: Maun Valley Trai - From the sewage works to New Mill Lane. 2 Kingfisher, Heron, Common Buzzard, Yellow Wagtail, small group of Tree Sparrows, Great spotted Woodpecker, Sparrowhawk. Please note a man in his twenties wearing cammo gear was shooting at Moorhens with an air rifle. This was near Old Mill Lane bridge, when challenged was abusive and aggressive. He was possibly driving a blue estate car.

Fri 14th Oct: Attenborough N.R. - Green sandpiper,goldeneye,water rail(2),siskin, tree sparrow(7),jay,redwing(17),golden plover(8),swallow(4).
Thu 13th Oct: Bleasby - 300 plus Pink footed Geese in 3 large skeins SE over Bleasby station 14:00
Wed 12th Oct: Attenborough N.R. - Rock pipit,16 redwing(flew west a.m.),brambling near delta gate,20 commic terns flew high west over sailing pit at 2.20 p.m.Goldeneye with injured wing stiil on the river,barnacle goose,c.50 golden plover,water rail(4)inc.2 showing well on wetmarsh,buzzard(2 on southside).
Tue 11th Oct: Lound - 2 Redshank, Greenshank, 2 Dunlin, 2 Green Sandpiper[Chainbridge Lane], female Goldeneye[Neatholme Lane], several hundred Golden Plover[Clayworth Common & fields to north]

Mon 10th Oct: East Leake - 9 Lesser Redpolls, mid morning along footpath from Manor Farm to Rempstone.( Approx halfway.) In set aside field, also 7 Redwing to the southwest.
Mon 10th Oct: Attenborough - Singing Chiffchaff, also Speckled Wood, Red Admiral butterflies, Common Darter and Migrant Hawker dragonflies.
Mon 10th Oct: Attenborough - Grey Wagtail,Yellow Legged Gull,Swallow x4.

Sun 2nd Oct: Netherfield - Common Buzzard [soaring over the lagoons], 2 Red crested Pochard, one male, and one that appeared to be a juvenile but turning into adult plumage. Both in the large fishing lake below the lagoons.
Sun 2nd Oct: Netherfield Lagoons - 3 Grey Wagtails, Whinchat, Water Rail, 3 Snipe, 2 Red crested Pochard[1 breeding male, 1 female]
Sun 2nd Oct: Moorhaigh, Pleasley - 250 Pink foot Geese going east at 1030
Sun 2nd Oct: Lound - Peregrine - 1 flew east over quarries and onto Clayworth Common, Pectoral Sandpiper - Juv still present on Neatholme Scrape. Grey Plover - Juv still present on Neatholme Scrape. Work Party in Chainbridge Wood NR recorded 2+ Willow Tit and half dozen Goldcrest. Up to 800+ Golden Plover have been on Clayworth Common for last few days.
Sun 2nd Oct: High Marnham - Flock of 25/30 Skylarks feeding in stubble, also 14 hares in surrounding fields.
Sun 2nd Oct: Harlow Wood/Fountaindale - 3 singing Chiffchaff
Sun 2nd Oct: Dunham-on-Trent Lakes - 80 Wigeon, 2 Tawny Owls, Green Woodpecker.
Sun 2nd Oct: Cotgrave - Two Ospreys over Forestry reserve at about 4pm flying towards Keyworth
