Sun 30th April: Barton-in-Fabis/Clifton - 1 Short-Eared Owl hunting over fields near Barton flash also 1 Barn Owl. Also in the area, 1 Shelduck on Barton flash, 10 Yellow Wagtails on track near Beeston weir.
Sun 30th April: Attenborough - Arctic tern x4 at least[main pond 17.45],Shelduck x3[Tween],LRP x2[Tween],Common Sandpiper[Tween],Yellow Wagtail[Tween],R.C.Pochard[Barton Ln car park].
Sat 29th April: Victoria Embankment - Black swan, red crested pochard, c70 mute swan on river.
Sat 29th April: Holme Pierrepont - LRP Blott's pit, kingfisher, green woodpecker, cuckoo, 100+ comic terns on rowing lagoon 1930 despite regatta in full swing.
Sat 29th April: Attenborough NR - 2 Arctic Terns [1 Main Pond & 1 Visitor Centre], Shelduck, Little Ringed Plover [Tween Pond], 1 Reeling,Grasshopper Warbler [Erewash Field], Oystercatcher [Sailing Pit], also Hirundines, Swifts, Common Terns and the more common Warblers. Butterflies: 7 Orange Tips, 4 Small Tortoisehell, 2 Small Whites, 3 Peacocks, Speckled Wood.

Fri 28th April: Radcliffe-on-Trent - Probable adult male Citrine Wagtail (in private area).
Fri 28th April: Netherfield Lagoons - 5 Common Whitethroats, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 3 Blackcaps, Chiffchaff, 3 Reed Warblers, 2 Willow Warblers, 5 Sedge Warblers, Yellow Wagtail + 6 Wheatears [fields], 7 Black-headed Gulls [immatures], 2 Great black-Backed Gulls [immatures], 5 Common Terns, 2 Shelduck, Argentine Blue-bill Duck, Oystercatcher [calling & over], 23 Swifts [1 group-over & -> North.], 2 Grey Partridges, 1 reeling Grasshopper Warbler. Fri 28th April: Holme Pierrepont - 2 Arctic Terns [Rowing course]
Fri 28th April: Gringley Carr - Rough legged Buzzard flew east at 12.45, mobbed by crows. Last seen over the wood where it hovered briefly. Two female and one male Dotterel at 3.45pm in pea field reached by turning left down the lane and viewing from the chicane with the white posts. Also in same field six northern summer plumaged Golden Plover but both these and Dotterel sometimes sitting very low and difficult to see. Also female Marsh Harrier, four Wheatears, several Yellow Wagtails, 3 Grey Partridges.
Fri 28th April: East Leake GPs - Sand Martins, Willow Warblers, Common Whitethroat, Chiffchaff, Little Grebes on lake. Common Buzzard over Stanford Hall area. Also Peacock, Orange tip, Common blue, Brimstone -all by footpath.

Tue 25th April: Warsop - Red Kite over Medan school 3.00pm
Tue 25th April: Nottingham - 3 Little ringed plovers on the shingle by the 'lake' on the Jubilee campus of Nottingham University.
Tue 25th April: King's Mill Reservoir - Blue headed Wagtail seen for 10 mins before being flushed north east by Sparrowhawk @ 8.55am. Also 5 Swifts, good numbers of Sand Martins & Swallows, 2 House Martins, 2 Common Whitethroats, 4 Yellow Wagtails through to the north, 1 female Common Redstart.

Sun 23rd April: Lound - Arctic Tern - up to 11 birds on Neatholme Scrape by 12.20pm and 3 noted on Neatholme Works Pit. 5 Common Tern on Neatholme Scrape, Greenshank, Common Sandpiper and drake Pintail. 14 Wheatear in peaty field on Hayton Common still, plus Common Buzzard. Single Grassshopper Warblers at Cross Lane, River bank near Neatholme Bridge, Neatholme Scrape and Chainbridge Pit. Also a possible Sandwich Tern flew off from Neathome Scrape.

Sun 23rd April: Barton-in-Fabis - Blue-Headed Wagtail in the ploughed field near Branshill wood but very mobile between ploughed field and grass field near the river. 12 Northern Wheatear still in the ploughed field, Cuckoo in scrub by the ponds near Branshill wood, 2 Shelduck on Barton flash. Barn Owl on fence posts near ploughed field.
Sun 23rd April: Attenborough - Lesser Whitethroat[clifton pit],Arctic Tern x2[main pond],Swift x5,Lrp x2.
Sun 23rd April: Attenborough - Drake Goldeneye [main pond], Whimbrel [Barton flash], female Red-crested Pochard [Visitor centre car park],2 Northern Wheatears, Arctic Tern [with Commons around Main pond platform], female Scaup [Main Pond], Fulvous Whistling Duck [near reserve centre]. Little Ringed Plover [Tween}, Yellow Wagtail (Tween), 20+ Wheatear (ploughed field's opposite river trent), Bar-Headed Goose (escape) and Yellow Wagtails also on other side of river to reserve, Reed Warbler [Delta], Sedge Warbler and many Whitethroat singing around Clifton pond.
Sun 23rd April: Attenborough - 4 bramblings in tall trees Trent side of bridge south of the new visitor centre. Male goldeneye on main pond. Kingfisher. Several warblers - blackcap, willow, chiffchaff, garden, whitethroat.
Sun 23rd April: Attenborough [Erewash field] - 2 Wheatears, 2 Whinchats, 2 Grasshopper Warblers, 2 Snipe, Hobby
Sun 23rd April: Annesley pit top - 50+ Redpoll, single Turtle Dove, 2 Bullfinches, Blackcap, 1 Little ringed Plover, 2 Dunlin, good numbers of up to 14 Northern Wheatears, 2 Redshanks, 4 Shelducks, first male Winchat immaculate condition, single Ring Ouzel & Greenshank also seen here today.
Sat 22nd April: Victoria Embankmen (Nottingham) - White-Fronted x ? Goose - several diagnostic features,but not right
Sat 22nd April: Lound - No sign of Grey-headed Wagtail found last night in peaty field on Hayton Common, but 12 Wheatear and a few Yellow Wagtails still present. Black-tailed Godwit, two flocks of 32 and 13 in the Chainbridge NR Scrape area early am. A single Knot and a flock of 41 Redshank on Chainbridge NR Scrape. Grasshopper Warbler on Cross Lane. Three Swift, drake Pintail, Green Sandpiper, Dunlin and Greenshank on Neatholme Scrape and 53 Pink-footed Geese in the Blaco area with a Wheatear, Common Tern, Lesser Whitethroat and Kingfisher in the Neatholme Pit area. Lots of Hirundines again today with a noticeable increase in Swallow and House Martin. A feral Lesser White-fronted Goose is present on Chainbridge NR Scrape and is paired with a Greylag. The resident Black Swans are now on Neatholme Scrape and Bellmoor Pit

Fri 21st April: Lound - Grey-headed wagtail with 28 Yellow Wagtails and 9 Wheatear on Hayton Common late evening (R Stevens and PJ Freeman). Two Curlew and three Common Tern off Neatholme Pits. drake hybrid Wigeon and Greenshank on Neatholme Scrape.
Fri 21st April: Erewash Meadow (Brinsley Flash) - Great grey Shrike.

Thu 20th April: Nottingham Cemetery - 2 Green Woodpeckers at the Nottingham Cemetery (Nr Clarendon St corner entrance) opp Arboretum:
Thu 20th April: Lound - Hybrid drake (American x Eurasian) Wigeon again on Neatholme Scrape, along with single Greenshank, Green Sandpiper, Common Tern and up to 5 Dunlin. Two Common Terns on Chainbridge Scrape from viewpoint, a single Goldeneye still present and up to 13 Red-crested Pochard in Chainbridge/Neatholme area
Thu 20th April: Clifton Wood/Brandhill Wood area - 18:45 - 20:15; 6 Wheatear in ploughed field, 1 Yellow Wagtail in adjoining cow field. 1 Barn Owl perched on fence near nest box. 4 Chiffchaff singing, 1 Blackcap, 12 Linnets.
Thu 20th April: Blidworth Woods - Numerous singing Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler, 4 Blackcaps and a Skylark over central heathland area: all allowing very clear views. Cuckoo heard repeatedly but unfortunately not seen.
Wed 19th April: Ratcliffe-on-Soar - Hoopoe present at the Power Station in the afternoon about 3 p.m. Feeding on ground around the back of cooling towers between the towers and the railway line and sitting in trees next to railway line.
Wed 19th April: Holme Pierrepont (A52 pit) - 2 Whimbrel over.
Wed 19th April: Clifton /Barton-in-Fabis - 18 Northern Wheatear , 11 White Wagtail and 25 Yellow Wagtail in the ploughed field at Barton-in-Fabis. 3 Northern Wheatear on fence posts near Beeston Weir, Common Whitethroat on the edge of Branshill wood

Tue 18th April: Netherfield lagoons - 6 Northern Wheatear (4 male, 2 female) feeding in a group on slurry, also seen by Neil Matthews. 2 Grasshopper Warblers [by large fishing pit], 1 Little ringed Plover, 2 Blackcaps, 5 Common Snipes [on reedbed edge on slurry pit], 350+ Golden Plovers [on Seven-Trent land], 1 Curlew, 1 Black tailed Godwit, 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Common Terns. Also good numbers of warblers, including Sedge, Willow and Common Whitethroats.
Tue 18th April: Mapperley Park - Green Woodpecker, Sparrowhawk.
Tue 18th April: Attenborough - Osprey through, 1 Northern Wheatear [Wheatear field], 12 Common Tern [Conneries], 1 White Wagtail [Tween pond scrape]. Good numbers of common migrants, Sedge Warbler, Blackcap, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff.
Mon 17th April: Papplewick Moor - c300 Golden Plover; 10:30.
Mon 17th April: Netherfield - 2 Little ringed Plovers, 1 Black tailed Godwit, 3-4 Grasshopper Warbler reeling around site but mostly fishing pit area, 3 Northern Wheatears on slurry pit at 10.45 am, 7 Common Snipe, 350 Golden Plover on Severn-trent field close to site, now in allmost full breeding plumage. 3 Chiffchaffs, 5 Sedge Warblers, 8+ Common Whitethroats, 2 Teal, 2 Shoveller, 8-10 bullfinch which is odd after being very scarce on the site all winter and now feeding on blackthorn flowers around the site, 3 Blackcaps.
Mon 17th April: Moorgreen Woods - 2 Nuthatch, 3O Siskin, 2 Chiffchaffs, 2 Buzzards
Mon 17th April: Linby Trail - 35 Golden Plovers [over to the west].
Mon 17th April: Holme Pierrepont - 2 Common Swifts over the rowing lake, @ 08:35
Mon 17th April: Gedling pit top - masses of Skylarks, possible up to a hundred plus birds on the highest area of grassland, superb sight and sound and most the observer has seen in years in Nottinghamshire and well worth a trip to experience, also 20+ Meadow Pipits. 1 Common Snipe, 1 Chiffchaff, 15-20 Barn Swallow feeding over pools, plenty of owl pellets but no sign of Short eared Owls now.
Mon 17th April: Clumber Park - 2 Tree Pipits on the South Lawn.
Mon 17th April: Bestwood park - 3 Chiffchaffs, Willow Warbler, Marsh Tit, Green Woodpecker, Great and Lesser spotted Woodpeckers, Little Owl being mobbed at about 10am, Nuthatch.

Sun 16th April: Kinoulton Canal - Kinoulton Canal between Kinoulton and Hickling: 2 Long tailed Tits, 1 Yellowhammer - male - singing his heart out!! 1 Willow Tit, 1 Reed Bunting.
Sun 16th April: Hoveringham (Sailing Pit) - 100 + Yellow Wagtails + 40 Pied Wagtails - joined briefly by 40 Yellow Hammers [feeding frenzy along West bank, 4 Egyptian Geese.
Sun 16th April: Hoveringham (Railway Pit) - 5 Wigeon, 3 Blackcaps, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, 7 Redshanks, Green Sandpiper, Snipe, 3 Oyster Catchers, 2 Red-Legged Partridges, 4 Grey Partridges, 2 Wheatears + 3 Brown Hares [in nearby ploughed field] + 3 Small Tortoisehell Butterflies.
